Since 2021, we’ve helped over 500 people - from expats seeking residency to local families applying for passports and visas. In 2023, Yasmin Gonzalez joined the team, and in 2025, Andy Gonzalez came on board, making this a proud family business built on trust, experience, and care for the community.We are here to serve both locals and foreigners, helping them feel supported, informed, and welcomed every step of the way.

About Maribel Gonzalez
My name is Maribel Gonzalez, founder of Cozumel Immigration Consultant & More. I’m a hardworking woman devoted to my family, my community, and my clients. I grew up in the United States (1990–2000) before returning to Mexico, where I completed my GED and one year of university. I’m also a proud mother of three wonderful children. From 2007 to 2019, I worked in customer service, sales, and management, always focusing on helping others and building strong relationships. In 2017, I moved to Cozumel and, after the pandemic, decided to pursue my true passion: assisting people with immigration and legal procedures. Beyond my business, I’m committed to giving back to the community. I founded a non-profit to support single mothers on the island, organizing annual school supply drives and Christmas toy collections to help local families and bring joy to children. Cozumel has given me so much, and it’s a privilege to give back while helping others feel at home in Mexico.
About Andreina Gonzalez
My name is Andreina Gonzalez, everyone calls me Andy and I am a proud mother of four children and a dedicated professional. I completed my studies in Mexico up to high school and have since gained extensive experience in various managerial and administrative roles across different regions of Mexico, including Monterrey, Reynosa, and Saltillo. In early 2025, I joined my sister’s business, Immigration Consultant and More, where I now help clients navigate the complexities of government processes. My role involves guiding people through each step of the process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. I take pride in providing personalized support, helping individuals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities successfully complete their immigration procedures. Working in this field has boosted my confidence, as I get to interact with people from all over the world, all while enjoying the flexibility of a family business. This allows me to balance my professional life with spending more time with my children, something I truly cherish. I am passionate about what I do because it allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives, helping them build a future in Mexico.
About Yasmin Gonzalez
My name is Yasmin Gonzalez, and I’m proud to be part of the team at COZUMEL IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT AND MORE. I grew up in the United States from 1990 to 2000, then moved back to Mexico where I completed High school in Monterrey from 2000 to 2002. I later pursued university studies in Reynosa from 2014 to 2017. From 2018 to 2023, I worked in various roles, including customer service, sales representative, and quality services. These positions gave me valuable skills in communication, customer relations, and problem-solving, which I now use to better serve our clients. When I moved to Cozumel, my goal was to complete a course in immigration procedures for both Mexicans and foreigners, and to join my sister in her business. Since then, it’s been a fulfilling journey helping people live out their dreams of living freely in Mexico without the stress of constantly renewing visas. We’ve had the privilege of helping many individuals and families obtain their residency, which allows them to enjoy all the beauty and opportunities our country has to offer.
